ted danson, 867-5309 & so much more

For your entertainment, here is another one of Matt's adolescent drawings. I give you, Ted Danson (don't ask)...

pucker up

Jenny, don't lose that number! There was a phase when I would tell everyone my phone number was 867-5309 to see how long it took them to figure it out. It was always funny except one time my friend tried calling me at that number for 45 minutes, she was upset. I still thought it was funny. Anywho, the number is a NY area code but anyone can use it (it's through Vonage) and the number can be all yours via eBay. Last time I checked it was up to $430K with five days left - WHOA!

Friday night we went to Seth's 30th Surprise Party, my camera was almost dead but we have three photos to share. In the only good one of us girls my head looks GIGANTIC. When I first saw the photo I did a double-take - my head is bigger than Megan's and Beth's put together. I had to put another photo that isn't so great to prove that it was a crazy angle, I'll be able to sleep at night now.

megan - pretty, beth - pretty, jen - pretty with giant head

putting this up makes me feel better...

On Sunday we went over to the Hussars for a Super Bowl Party, they are wonderful hosts (as always) and we had a great time (Cincinnati Chili - YUM). Chris made a wager board and I actually won the first round of dough (see below).

We received MORE snow on Monday, I didn't even know it was supposed to snow. It made everything so pretty.

our yard doesn't look so bad covered, ha

I leave you with a recipe I came across, let's make our own oreos (click on the image and it will take you there)!

ohhhhhhhhhh yum

Happy Anniversary, Matt! I sure do love youuuuuuuu!

Over and out, love to my home boyz.

parainfluenza III & we partied like it was 1999

This week has been pretty terrible, Lottie Sue had a virus that landed her in the hospital for five days. FIVE DAYS! It's a long long long story, but we are so happy that she is on the mend. We came home yesterday but she is still a mess, she does not feel well at all. We are trying our best to keep her comfortable and entertained but it is hard as nothing is fun for her when she feels like poo.

I was so good last weekend, I completed four posts and I was going to post them every other day but that just didn't happen. So be sure to check the blog this week as we'll have new posts up several times. OK, here's our post from NYE...

Jonathan had a NYE party and it was so much fun! He and his lovely Tabby are wonderful hosts. Here's the invite, I say JP never looked better.

looking good

We shipped Lottie Sue off to Gramma and Papaw's, so we only have one of her and here it is.

We spent New Year's Day playing Rock Band 2 and Mortal Kombat with the Smiths, Gilmores and the Masons. We spent the day in our pajamas. It was awesome. More to come later!

melinda is insane, kathy and whitney rock & bollywood

Lottie Sue and I (Matt had a conference in Miami) went to the beach with the Venable family last week and I am trying to ease back into daily life again. I have a ton of photos to upload but it's going to take me a while, in the meantime I have other stuff to post for your entertainment.

My cousin Melinda has lost her mind. She completed TWO triathlons this summer and has probably signed up for 10 more. She's a machine, and here is proof...

biking and running her way to victory
while everyone else eats her dust

In other family news, my aunt Kathy and cousin Whitney have been on tv and in the newspaper lately. This story, Female Construction Company Owners Receive Award, ran last month on channel 8 news. I am unable to embed the video on our blog but let me tell you that it was a neat piece. They were also featured in a local newspaper, here they are...

keep on trucking

Lottie Sue started her swimming lessons this morning at Adventure Swim and she did very well. Allow me to brag: she was doing so well with the dunking that the instructor singled her out and asked everyone to watch her a few times. I think I ended up dunking her about 15 times and she was over it by the end of that section. She did very well on the boards and then moved on the swimming with a dumbbell under her arms. She wasn't sure about it at first but she didn't cry at all. She just stuck it out and I could see that she was getting used to it - still not her favorite though. They do a kicking activity and she loved it so much, she was squealing nonstop. Adorable.

I hope everyone is watching So You Think You Can Dance. If you are rolling your eyes wellletmetellyou - it's awesome and stop rolling your eyes. A mixture of contestants are chosen for the show, ranging from unknown street dancers to winners of national championships. All contestants have to work their way through a rigorous audition process, and, over the course of the show, are assigned different dance styles and partners each week to test their versatility. It's on tomorrow night with the results show on Thursday nights. We are down to 4 couples, people!

Update: I just read that
Jessica is injured and Comfort is back in, I'm sorry but I haven't been impressed that Comfort can dance new styles but overall I'm bored.

My favorite dancer is Will but my favorite couple is Katee and Joshua. Last week K&J performed a Bollywood number and it was my favorite, here you are if you are so inclined...

Plus, my girl crush Mia Michaels is a choreographer and judge on the show. I can't get enough! Carrie (luvs Cat D.) and I like to text each other during the show, it's way fun. I think that they have a lot of great dancers left, there are only one or two that I don't care for.

Please note that Project Runway starts tomorrow night on Bravo - I love it! I will be posting about it for sure. Here is a clip from the show...

OK, I'm done for now. I'll leave you with another hilarious photo from icanhascheezburger, it cracked me up.

the shame

Our beach post should publish in a day or so. Until then...

kat is PREGNANT (whee!) & we have photos of claire

I hijacked this photo from Kat and PJ's blog - wonderful news from them, they have a mini-McNicholas on the way. Click here to read all about it! We are so very excited for them, they are going to be awesome parents!

I saw that Kat posted a recipe on her blog yesterday, what a mom.

he/she arrives mid-december

Josh sent photos of Miss Claire and I've posted them below. She is gorgeous! This is the note Josh sent along, it has the specifics of her arrival (I had the time wrong and wasn't sure of her exact weight).

Claire Estelle Carson was born at 8:04 AM on Friday, June 13. Claire weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches long at birth. Mother and baby are well. Older brother Max and older sister Jordan are quite proud (not to mention Dad). For those who have not yet heard, we have also recently added Lara's 10-year-old cousin to our growing family.

she is so sweet, i want to hug her and give her a million kisses

claire with mommy

snug as a bug in a rug

here we have jordan holding her new sister, i noticed that josh has his hands ready for a dropping incident but honestly jordan is holding claire like a pro - very impressive

OK, and I have to let you know now that we did not take one photo this weekend...we are ashamed. I forgot the camera so we didn't have one for Jack and Holly's party (but I hope to have a few from other photo takers). And then yesterday it was so busy we forgot. Oops, please forgive us. I will take photos this week and post them - I promise!

Jack and Holly's party was way fun, Holly had on such a pretty dress and she looked so nice. Jack is such a little boy, I can't believe he is 3 years old. He's a cutie pie. The Hussar twins were there and it was neat to meet them as well. Emory and Will are doll babies and Chris and Amy were pros handling two, it was quite impressive.

OK, that's all for now. Post to ya later...
