ok, to catch you up on our summer so far...this post is top line info. i know i owe A LOT, just know i can't sleep at night knowing that i have so much to blog. for real, i am slightly stressed out about it.
lottie sue went to art camp and it was awesome...

we went to the beach with the venable family
i felt pretty terrible the night before we planned to leave the gilmore's house for the beach...
and on the way there i had an emergency appendectomy
then not to be outdone, lottie sue's shunt malfunctioned and she had surgery once we got home.
so that gave us two emergency surgeries in 10 days

then a dream came true for lottie sue, she got to meet smokey at the leukemia & lymphoma's light the night kick-off luncheon...
she was incredibly happy
then i race the butterfly 5K with my homegirlz...

after that race we hopped in the car with amanda, john, megan and tommy and headed to the ocoee for some white water rafting. we met marty, nate, kristina and monty there.

here we are on a class IV rapid - it was AMAZING
then the next day the apples and cera rolled into town. they were here for most of the week and we had a great visit! the big news that week was that knox turned one!

but we would go up to the lake after school to play in the water...

THEN there was other wonderful news...scott and carrie got married (eloped) but had a fantastic wedding party once they were back. i know carrie will have awesome photos so i will steal them from her blog when they go up ;)
it was so much fun, so beautiful!
the next morning we met the cases, hussars and langleys in the mountains for a tubing expedition...
no class IVs here
we didn't get enough of each other so we had lunch AND dinner together - hugs!!!

i know i don't have a lot of commentary but there has been no time. i am amazed that i got this out to tell you the truth.
ALSO, you may or may not know but i have been training for the chicago half marathon.
i have been a good girl and have been following my training schedule but i am still a little slow for them. you HAVE TO HAVE a 13 minute mile and i am more like a 13:30 right now. it would be very hard for me to shave that time off. i AM getting faster as i get fitter but i'm still not where i need to be.
and i also have a hip issue, it's getting figured out but it's not the best right now. so i go back to the doctor tomorrow and he will assess the situation. so you might find that i did the 5K there this weekend and not the half, i am going to see what the doc says and play it by ear. he could say OK, and if so i may go for it.
but i still have the disney wine & dine half marathon in october and will be ready for that one FOR SURE. so anyway, that's my story - i might wuss out for chicago but not for lacking of trying and training. i am conflicted.
