We are settling in just fine, everyone is happy and doing well. Rowdy went to the doctor this morning and he's gaining weight and lookin' good! He is a PIG, he eats so much and so well - what a blessing! And he's a great sleeper so far, aside from getting up through the night we haven't had many problems. Matt is being Mr. Wonderful as usual and it's been so neat having everyone under the same roof. Lottie Sue is great with her baby brother, she loves to hold him and kiss him - plus she loves helping out with his feeding and picking out his clothes. Life is good!
Here are some photos from today, enjoy! This first one CRACKS us up. Lottie Sue is very interested in just about everything but she is also a total mimic. Here she is with my breast pump...
And here were have a few photos of Rowdy this evening, he has many faces but most of them are the sleepy kind.
And here are a few photos of Lottie Sue with "baby brother" - she doesn't call him by his name but will soon we guess.
OK, that's all we have for now. It's bathtime at the Mowrer residence - blog to ya later!
welcome to the mowrer family blog! you'll be able the follow the chronicles of lottie sue and rowdy here, as well as see what the rest of the family has going on. enjoy.

introducing rowdy mowrer
We welcomed our newest member into the family last Thursday - Mr. William Rowdy Mowrer, we call him Rowdy. He was born at 9:07 am on September 24, 2009 and came in at 6 lbs 15 oz - and as pink as a little piggy! And while I would love to write a lot here for you, you will have to get by with mostly photos. We are TIRED, but happy and doing well.
here we are with baby boy right after
we got into the room after surgery
welcome no name (we didn't settle on a name until he was a
few days old) baby boy mowrer - this is his first
photo matt took in the nursery
Then we had many visitors brave the rain and come out to meet Mr. Man...
We were all curious to see what Lottie Sue would do when she met Rowdy, but she was nothing but SWEET. Lots of teary eyes in the room, her first words to him were "hold you" and she was so excited.
hold you

her signature smirk smile
daddy, rowdy and lottie sue - my favorites
she kept kissing him and petting his head
more kisses
and now we make four
On the advice of our doctor (and all of our friends with more than one kid) we had a gift ready for Lottie Sue from Rowdy. She was very excited to open it to find her own baby boy, but after a minute she only wanted to play with Rowdy.

rowdy mowrer, hello world!
cousin sydney came over as well to hold her next babysitting client

UT played Ohio State on Saturday so after Rowdy and I were fed and napping away Matt went down to visit our friends who were tailgating. But you KNOW that we had to dress him in his UT gear (thanks Tommy for the cool shirt!).
I leave you with a few random photos, one of JP and then a few of the adorable Lottie Sue.
we were up at the lake watching the ut/ucla
game and saw jp on tv - matt has eagle eyes
(jp is right above the words "live tv")
OK, hope you enjoy the photos of our newest family member. We are so excited to be home and love being together and getting to know Rowdy. More to come!

The following photos are sort of like a photo essay of the day. This first one is me in the hospital before the c-section, I look so puffy and tired - it was around 6am - yawn!

homegrown, a baby boy bbq shower, marty jumps out of a perfectly fine plane & mrs. c
Hi all! Check out the tomatoes and okra, these came out of Grandma's garden. YUM! The tomatoes have been in lots of meals and Matt made the okra the other night - it was delicious.
So, here I am at week 35 - gulp. I am now on orders to "take it easy." That means I basically have to stay off my feet (with them up) and have Matt be my own personal butler. He is, as always, awesome - but I am pretty bored and feel like a BUM. Oh well, I will have plenty of opportunities to help out once baby boy arrives.
Anywho...Carrie, Patterson, Megan and Shon threw a BBQ Baby Shower for us over the weekend - it was GREAT! The food (um, enough to feed an army) was excellent, the flowers (by Mary Ann) were gorgeous and a great time was had by all. We also came home with a carload of baby gifts. Here are some photos for you to enjoy...
carrie, moi, kat and shonnie bear (nice baby bump!)
marty and shawn (looking so cute, love the dress)
(ps - marty had plans to jump out of a plane
the next day...more on that below)
lila, marty, shawn, mary ann and megan pose for a shot
here we have matt opening the cutest bibs ever
carrie bought an outfit for baby boy AND one for lottie sue
(yes, they match - awesome)
jo and patterson laughing at something
shonnie bear and kitty kat, reunited
here i am opening gifts and carrie is texting
it's me, my nose and jo
the boys discuss football or something like that
Earlier I mentioned that Marty was going to jump out of a plane - WELL HE DID. What a nut. I stole these photos from his crackbook page.
Alrighty, I am about to run out to pick up baby girl from school. This morning she walked into church on her "tippy toes" - just like a balrina. She is too fun, we love her bunches.
PS - I meant to post a photo on this earlier BUT the one I had was not so good. Lottie Sue had MAJOR stink eye and I was waiting on Carrie to post about it. To my disappointment, Lottie Sue had the stink eye in her photo as well. Oh well, can't win them all...
Carrie's mom was in town last month, all the way from Vegas and we had lunch together. Mrs. Conyngham is an avid reader of our blog and it was GREAT meeting her. She had a gift for Miss Thang, thecutestdressyou'veeverseen - a photo is coming. Thank you again Mrs. C!
Alrighty, toodles!
