hair modeling, rowdy laughing, twins birthdaying, me running & lottie sue gymnasticing

imagine my DELIGHT when i found THIS...

becce making love to the camera, big time

bb found a pack of photos in the move and gave them to me. they were photos of one prom and they were fine but the above photo was stuck in there. i mean, COME ON - IT'S AWESOME. i love it so much! this was sometime in the late 90s and becce was a hair model for a salon i think. the whats and whens really aren't that important though, it doesn't matter. all that matters is the look - she is serious here, people! seriously lip lined. i am filing this one away for other projects, it's just too good.

i got rowdy really laughing the other day and captured it on video. and while i have about 100 years of video, i have not made the time to make any movies. but i did do something with this short clip today. i sound super annoying (you've been warned) but it's what he likes, can't help it.

here he is again, chilling on the ottoman giving me a smile. he is now six months old, yikes! he is a great kid, we love him bunches. he can almost sit by himself, he'll put his arms out to help stabilize himself but he will fall over. he loves it if you put him in the corner of the couch and give him toys to play with. he grabs EVERYTHING, nothing is safe.

how you doing?

this post has a lot of random stuff in it so just go with me. i also want to point you to megan's blog, she just put it up and she has additional photos of the weekend. one highlight is an algebra test i took (and failed. it was hard.). it's been pretty busy, but all is well. ok, in the next photo tell me if you can spot rowdy.

lottie sue wanted all the babies together for a photo

ooh, here is evidence of my statement about rowdy and the corner of the couch. although there are no toys in this picture you get the idea...

corners are bananas

the next few photos were taken by kristina one night as i bathed rowdyman and matt manned the fish. i wish i knew the story for this first shot...

me lottie sue, you tommy

a happy lottie sue

lottie sue loves her some aunt megan

nope, no shoulder pads here

and here we have megan with rowdy one afternoon, just hanging out.

who likes to cuddle?

looks like tommy decided to put his shirt on

mowmow grills up veggies and fish - it was delish, of course

i think these photos are from the next day, ut had a basketball game and peeps came over. it turned into a rock band night with tot (taste of thai) and it was super fun.

lottie sue is on lead vocals

kristina and myself are always camera-ready

at school, lottie sue's class planted flowers and they are going to tend the garden to make them grow. here is what we have as of last week, she doesn't go back for a week and a half so something should be up by the next photo.

all together now...awwww - lottie sue flowers

and i took this photo of rowdy after i took the shot of the flowers, here he is in the car ready to take lottie sue home.

HEY GUYS!

this past saturday the hussar twins celebrated two years of life at little gym and a wonderful time was had. i wish i had a better photo of emery, she was dressed "suri chic" and i loved her outfit - it was complete with pearls. for real.

happy birthday will and emery!!!

lottie gets some air on the bouncy thing

lottie sue under the tarp
(when it was supposed to be the twins only, sigh)

here is holly hanging (pun intended) out
(this girl has some real talent with the gymnastics stuff - she's agile)

see? she's our next mary lou

a magpies creation
(will was mostly concerned with the bus cake, he talked
about it the whole time but really, who can blame him)

time for cake (nom nom nom nom)

then yesterday it was the 5K, here i am with amy and tommy. tommy ran the whole way with me (all together now again...awwwww) and we even held hands as we crossed the finish line. true story.

i am so slow and it was hard, so many hills! ah, those HILLS. i had to dig DEEP but i did not stop and ran the whole way. that was my goal, to run the whole thing without stopping so YAY ME. although i went to bed around 8 last night i am not that sore today, i was certain i would be a mess.

we are awesome, it's that simple

after this shot was taken we walked out and saw the pink mom from biggest loser. i do not go up to people usually but she was standing right there so i did - she was super nice and said that she and her daughter were home and were just working out trying to lose weight so they could win. i hope they do, go knoxville! i think one of the girls on american idol is from here as well but i am not sure if she is still on the show. i can only handle the try outs then i'm done. anywho, pink mom was nice!

i hosted brunch after the race, here are the participants taking it easy...(side note: megan ran the half marathon so we didn't have her in the photo above).

again, we are awesome!

after brunch it was game time. everyone was feeling good until the last minute of the game. wah...oh well - maybe next year. amy is a spartan and i was SO hoping to win so i could trash talk. but no.

this was before we lost, obviously

megan and tommy tend to rowdy as marty makes googly eyes
(btw, marty proposed to shawn a few weeks ago - a
super cute couple, we are so happy for them!!!)

and after the game it was time to give rowdy food for the first time. i forgot how messy it is to feed babies at first, geez...messy, but cute. he was down with it.

these sweet potatoes, me likey

and then this morning i was dressed and ready to head out to the gym but amy texted me and said they were going to the gymnastics place. i was DOWN with that and we headed over there. it was so much fun. the entire hussar family was there (a grandmother, an aunt, an uncle, cousins - it was great), they are lovely people are in town for the big birthday party.

i lost both of my socks in the foam pit but i did get to jump on the trampoline - it was so much fun. i had to literally take lottie out of there with her kicking and crying. she walked outside with her arms crossed and her bottom lip sticking out.

rowdy watches all the activity

rowdy does a little bit of light bouncing on the trampoline

lottie sue held on to a rope and swung into this pit,
i couldn't believe she did that - fearless

more bar time

and now i have a few random photos for you...

phew, that's all i have for now. have a super duper week!

licking heads, a new cousin & getting lapped by someone's grandpa

here are both of the kids in a photo together. i am going to try to take their picture here at the beginning of each month. i wanted to do this with lottie sue and you know that didn't exactly happen. but this time i MEAN it.

i like to think of what this photo will look like in
10 years but when i do i start to tear up so i stop

i am also very excited about the fact that we will be welcoming a new nephew/niece to the family in august - becce and mike are pregnant with #2! harlan is gonna have a new best friend! happy! happy! joy! joy! the more, the merrier!

my oh MY, the sun is OUT today and lemmetellya it is fab-U-lous. the birds are singing, the sun is shining! february is sooooo bleeeeeehhhhhh (aside from the birth of one baby gilmore and our anniversary). but i digress...i have been a blog slacker and am here to make up for it. first, to your extreme delight i am certain, lottie sueisms...
  • she often calls me jenny or matt, well - matt. if you ask her our full name it's "mommy/daddy sue mowrer"
  • she told one of the dads at ballet last week that she wanted to lick his head
  • she called me a "mean ogre" for not letting her eat her food off of the floor (like the cats)
  • her imagination play is on high, she constantly plays with/talks to/feeds/chases/runs from monsters - yeah, monsters - not sure where it started but they are always here. they aren't scary monsters really, the most terrifying thing they do is chase her but it's a fun chase
  • she will tell me something and then ask me "do you understand what i am saying?" - like i'm an idiot of something
  • this might be tmi but if she goes #2 she likes to announce that she had a "giant poop" to anyone that will listen
  • she calls rowdy "rowdy man"
  • she likes to jump across a room rather than walk across it
  • for some strange reason that no one understands, she states that kevin is her best friend (no logic)
  • she is a literal thing - she was asking matt for something (if she wants it she likes to ask for it over and over until the has it) and he told her to keep her pants on - her reply was "but daddy, i DO have my pants on"
  • lottie sue likes to reads books to us and she loves to sing songs
  • she calls any item of clothing "ballrina ______" - she is sorta obsessed with ballerinas
  • i bought her a dress last week and when she saw it she yelled "oh my, look at my wonderful dress!!!"
  • she likes to help us give rowdy a bath
  • she flew a kite for the first time this past week (so did matt)
one other cute little story has to do with her friend at school, irie. he has been in her class last year and this year and they REALLY like each other. lottie sue always talks about irie and his parents say he does the same about lottie. i dropped lottie off last thursday and irie was already there, when he heard us come in he yelled "OH GOODY, LOTTIE SUE IS HERE! LOTTIE SUE IS HERE!" - it's adorable. and yesterday when we walked in he yelled "hey guys! it's lottie sue! she's here! oh boy!" and came over to meet her, took her hand and led her to the train table. it's almost too much, people.

rowdy turned 5 months last week and he doesn't have many isms yet but i can tell you that he likes to stand (with assistance, of course), laugh, talk, eat his fingers, drink bottles and sleep. he also likes to to watch lottie sue play and his favorite person in the world is matt - no contest. rowdy is an angel baby, we have no complaints! he has also been teething, his little fang teeth broke through but have stopped coming out. i think it would be awesome if he only had fangs for a while...we'll see. we could have a lot of fun with that...saying things like "i vaunt to suck your bottle" and so forth.

sunday was no today mind you but it was still nice. we parked it outside for a while, here are a few photos.

rowdy in the swing (that don't impress him much)

lottie sue playing her favorite past time "nite nite"

lottie's dinosaur eating grass

lottie sue bossing everyone around (par for
the course), instructing them to be quiet

matt goes dino on her and she does NOT like it

rowdy is bored

a self portrait of rowdy and moi

and now i have some randoms for you. when we transferred our old photos to the new computer we did not do it right, no method to the madness. so i keep running across random items, which is kinda neat but i know i really need to get them organized.

this is a photo from granbunny's childhood, she's at the beach with her parents/my great grandparents (john and dicey) - back in the day you could just drive your car all over the beach

i also downloaded the newest photos from lottie sue's camera. she has an eye.

here are few that were on my phone. i think they are from the last month.

rowdyman as a monkey

one of matt's masterpieces

lottie sue before school on pajama day (she was way excited)

and these photos were on the camera, matt took them one afternoon when i went to the movies with the girlz.

righto - super cute

grubby mcgrubgrub

here's rowdy in the chair all by his lonesome. carrie bought him these overalls and i put him in them almost every day. i love them. he's my little farmer boy.

rowdy is plumping UP

and i don't know how i missed this one - matt took lottie sue to her first movie. the only kid thing playing was the chipmunk movie so that's what they saw (matt said it was terrible).

she's a big girl

right now i am training to run a 5k with my friend amy - it's hard but we are using a training program (couch to 5k) that is working for me. there is an app for my iphone and it's super neat. i also have the nike+ running thing and i am obsessed with it. ever day it downloads my info and makes pretty charts for me to look at - i LOVE charts. anywho, our race is in three weeks and starting this week all of our runs are without breaks. i can now run a few miles (without stopping - could NOT even run half of one without stopping before) and my mile runs are getting faster each week. i can do it but i am super slow, someone's grandpa lapped me today (true story) at the track. but i also want to say that he was in my freestyle step class afterwards and he was kicking it like no other. so basically - yes, i rock.

well that's all i have for you now. i leave you with a few interesting stories, if you are so inclined...
i thought this was pretty funny. that jimmy kimmel, so handsome.

enjoy your day, blog to ya later.
