a kissing fool, miss claire & caught brown handed

We didn't take many photos of the holiday, oops...but we do have a few I will share with you. I hope everyone had a nice holiday. We ate a lot, shopped, went to the game (in the rain - die hards) and saw the Carsons (and met Miss Claire!).

We stopped by to visit with Grandma on Thanksgiving before heading up to Johnny and Judy's house for lunch. Grandma has this giant bear and LS is in love with him. She gives him LOTS of hugs and kisses. See?

huggin and a kissin

She also gave Grandma lots of kisses. This baby is one kissing fool I tell ya.

m-wahhhhh

Friday afternoon we drove up to the mountains to see the Carson clan. They had a house for the week and had all sorts of family with them. The house was gorgeous! We don't have any photos so take my word for it. But the best part was meeting Miss Claire - say hello to this precious child!

snuggly sweet

Here's a photo of Harlan wearing the racking bar while a game of pool was going on.

fashion forward (?)

And speaking of fashion forward, check out the hat and boa - ooh la la! Lottie Sue really likes looking at herself in the mirror wearing this. We decorated the tree tonight and this is her very own cupcake ornament for this year.

a sweetie for a sweetie

how fancy can one little girl be?

Oh yeah, I'd like to thank Kevin for ruining this shot. It would have been very good. Jerk.

kevin strikes again

Lottie Sue helped Matt put the star on the tree.

ta da!!!

OK, now I just have a slew of random photos for you. I meant to put these up last week but it didn't happen... Matt made crème brûlée recently and I took a few photos. It was as good as it looked, he's mastered this dessert.

it was yummy yummy in my tummy

Oh gosh, this is a photo of Lottie Sue in a terrible state. She is so grubby here. I don't know what happened. We hosed her down after dinner.

yucky but happy, good enough for me

Right, now I can thank Kevin AGAIN for this one. He has been digging out the dirt in this plant recently every morning. We get back from the gym it's like this. I didn't clean it up in time one morning and Lottie Sue decided to get her hands dirty. She does not like stuff on her hands (more evidence of that fact: birthday cupcake icing) and was getting upset. I hosed her down after this as well.

caught brown handed

This photo is of Shon after she asked LS for a kiss and her reply was "NO" - I told her to not take it personally...

regected

I leave you with this, Tommy modeling one of GranRay's OLD OLD OLD jackets.

ut's new davy crocket? who's with me?

Have a great week, I'll post again soon. Toodles!

This past Saturday we held Kat's "Chicken Little is Coming!" baby shower. Kat looked just GREAT and everyone is so excited for Kat and PJ - and not to mention the mounting excitement over finally meeting Chicken Little. Here are a few photos of the lovely event...

I should get more photos from the other camera there so I'll share with you later. Here are some shots of the behind-the-scenes action.

The onsies really faded after I washed them, but we sure had fun making them. We had fun doing everyting really, we love Kat so much and are so thrilled for her! Yay! We have just about one month left until he's here, I seriously cannot wait!

three minutes & bows! bows! bows!

I was restocking the closets the other day and the UPS guy came to the door. We chatted for maybe three minutes and this is what Lottie Sue did in that time...

this could have been a lot worse but she kept it contained

Lottie Sue is such a shag dog! Her hair hangs in her face and she will not let me keep a barrette in her hair. I put it in, she rips it out - then repeat. So I gave up (I am not ready to give her bangs, it's not my current "vision"). I did take her for a trim the other day and it looks super cute. Cindy Lou trimmed up the back her hair curled up big time! We thought her hair was wavy back there but it is Curl City. LS was so great during the whole thing as well. She sat in the chair and was very good, she was pleasant and sweet. Her visit ended with a shoulder ride through the salon with Cindy Lou, it was pretty cute.

shag dog, pre hair do appointment

UPDATE: I am very happy to report that Lottie Sue will let me put bows in her hair (not plain barrettes, bows only) as of yesterday. I haven't been trying bows since she was so against the barrettes. But I swear this child is all girl, she wears necklaces ALL DAY and now when I do her hair she tilts her head to side once I put the bow in - likes she's posing and enjoying her loveliness. Today her bow fell out of her hair when I put her in the car seat and she started yelling "bow! bow! bow!" - seriously, all girl.

Here are two photos of Lottie this morning before MDO - notice the giant bow! The Muppets took over the Today Show this morning and she was loving it. I was too, actually.

showing me her belly button

OK, that's all for now. Enjoy the Lottie Sue-centric post!
