breakfast, mini mowmow & lottie sue and harlan at the beach

I took these photos early today during breakfast, Lottie Sue was happy happy happy.

giving me some smoochies

laughing at me when i jumped because my coffee was so hot

and uh oh, where did she go? we are still playing
the ifican'tseeyouthenyoucan'tseeme game

Matt and I are happy to know that baby boy is looking great so far! We've had two anatomy ultrasounds and they don't see any head problems like Miss Thang. I can finally feel somewhat confident in this pregnancy for the boy, my nerves have been a little stressed but I'm feeling good now! Check him out! These photos are from last Friday, the first one looks like he's sticking his tongue out. What a joker!

sup playas?

smell my feet, give me something good to eat

And here we go with the photo overload section of the post. We went to San Destin over Memorial Day with the Apples. We had so much heavy rain the first day and 1/2, I thought the sun would never come out - but it did and thank goodness. And Matt was lucky enough to catch the horrible stomach bug I had the day before we left (big shout out to Sydney and Megan for helping with Lottie Sue - I was worthless) and spent two days in bed. Nice. BUT we still had fun once the rain went away and Matt was all better.

Lottie Sue and Harlan got along very well, we had a few fights and bites but for the most part they were great together. Instead of my gabbing on and on, I'll just show you.

We went over to Mike's parent's house for dinner one night. Within 2 minutes of arrival they found the pool and were stripped down. They stayed in there the whole time.

water babies

Harlan started blowing bubbles and Lottie Sue thought that was hilarious. The first photo is them enjoying a laugh over it then the next is their bubble symphony.

it doesn't take a lot to entertain 2 year-olds

If it got quiet in the condo you could bet they were playing on the phones. I asked them who they were calling and it was either BB or GranBunny.

i would hate to see the long-distance bill
if the phones were actually plugged in

Here are some beach photos from one day, Harlan WAS NOT a fan of any part of his body touching the sand for a day or so. He would literally crawl on you like a monkey if he feared his feet were going to touch sand. But he got over that eventually and was all over the place.

feel free to post comments about matt's hat

lottie sue with her shovel

harlan wanting to go back to the chairs so he would be out of the sand

all she needed was a shovel and she was set

These were taken one evening at sunset.

i tried to get a good one but it was impossible,
i like this one better i think

Here are a few of the kids running around, playing with sticks.

all together now...awwwwww

The next two photos represent life with a 2 year-old.

wait, where are you going please?

lottie sue chasing mike chasing harlan

This is a great three-part shot. I don't know why Lottie Sue was bullying Harlan, who knows.

ready to rumble

Here is Lottie Sue shoving her face full of wafers on the way home.

nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom

We went up to the lake this past weekend to visit with BB and GranDaddy. And I am serious when I say that Lottie Sue was in the pool in less than one minute of arrival. I had to hold her down to put her bathing suit on.

putting on my sunglasses that she broke eventually
(pair #2 in less than one week)

a very happy water baby

still with the knockers on a golf cart ride

I leave you with these photos of Lottie Sue yesterday. It was nap time and she wanted to make her own bed instead of going to her room.

odd choice for a nap location but to each his own

please note that her eyes are closed, what an actress

Lottie Sue turns 2 on Friday - CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?! And speaking of birthdays, Happy Birthday Mike! June is birthday month fo sho - today is Mike, tomorrow is GranBunny, Thursday is Megan, Friday is Lottie Sue with BB and PaPaw having a birthday next weekend. Also Holly and Jack Case both have birthdays next week. Phew!

OK, I'm outta here. Post to ya later!

happy birthdayz, the mockingbirds & other items

Kenley celebrated her birthday on Wednesday - I'm a little late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

(don't ask) looking good!

Harlan also celebrated his big #2 on Sunday and I will post some photos of our cute boy once Becce goes through them and sends them over. I can't believe he is 2 - whoa. But I do have a photo of Harlan's soccer team, it's hilarious. Harlan is the fourth one from the right and he looks like he's about to throw something (?). Becce said all they do is run around basically and I would guess that is enough because they all look to be around 2. I can't image Lottie Sue kicking a ball consistently - or sharing for that matter.

i introduce to you, the mockingbirds

I also thought of a few Lottie Sue-isms for you...
  • Lottie Sue LOVES latex gloves. She loves to wear only one and she makes me wear them with her. We come across them all the time between PDO and doctor visits. They always let us grab a handful so we have a supply.
  • If Lottie Sue is done with you she gives you a flat "BYE" - this means that she wants you to leave and she is fine by herself. I get this when I drop her off or she has a toy she doesn't want to share or play with me. If she is excited about a food item I give her I am always told to get lost.
  • She loves to pretend sleep, she will lay a blanket/tissue/towel on the floor then lies down and does a fake snore. It's adorable. The new thing with it this week is that she asks me to rub her back while she "sleeps".
Here I have a few photos of Lottie Sue, the first one is her on the couch eating an apple (loves them).

laid back

And here she is having tea time with Puppy.

she is really into having tea and pretend cooking/eating

This is a photo of her begging/pouting when I wouldn't give her the camera.

act your shoe size and not your age

I went over to Jo's a couple of weeks ago and have a few photos of the kids. Lottie Sue and Jack played together really well. Here are a few photos of the kiddos.

good kids

I leave you with a few items for your entertainment, enjoy:
Here's to a happy Friday and a great weekend. I hope that I am finally over this cold (second on ein three weeks - nice) and that I can get back in the swing of things. Next week Matt and I travel to NYC with the Gilmores for a long weekend. CANNOT WAIT - I'm already there...

Peace.

Lottie Sue Gets Fresh, Harlan Goes Tubing & Vote For Matt and Coach Pearl

OK, I've slacked a little on the blog - my apologies. Quick note about the babe - Lottie Sue's two little teeth are finally out and oh-so-adorable. Her hair is also growing so fast, it is wild! Sometimes she looks like she put her finger in an electrical outlet - ztt!

But again, so sorry about not posting for over a week. To make up for it, here are a million photos...friends again?
Here is Lottie Sue in her Valentine's Day pajamas...this photo is the best one. Typical Lottie Sue on her belly...

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

How YOU doin'? Party in my crib at 3am...

Crazy hair

And here are a few more...

And Mr. Harlan had tubes put in his ears last week, so we hope no more ear infections. Becce said everything went very well and here are a few photos of Harlan being adorable. This very minute Mike, Becce and Harlan are on their way to Hawaii - Mike has a convention there and they decided to make a vacation out of it. Harland's birthday is on Saturday - he turns 1 - I cannot believe it!!!

Let me take your blood pressure, I'll do it right - I promise

Balloons make everything OK

Beep beep!

Wait, you're going to do WHAT?!?!

And then it was a BIG night for us on Saturday. The Vols (#2) played Memphis (#1) - AND WON! We were ranked #1 IN THE COUNTRY!!! But only for 3 days, it was good while it lasted. And I've written before about Matt's man crush on Coach Pearl. Sunday morning Matt tells me that he was having a dream in which Coach Pearl was running for President of the United States - and that he had just asked Matt to be his running mate. I'm telling you guys - Matt is crazy for Coach Pearl.

Matt and Tommy are so proud

Thumbs up, WAY UP

During the game, Kevin and Megan "bonded"

And now let me share photos with you guys of our friends the Case Family - Blake, Joanna, Jack and little Birdie. I went over to Jo's for lunch yesterday and Jack entertained Lottie Sue and Birdie by running in circles around the couch. They loved it.

Birdie smiles for the camera

Jack leads the way for Jo on a nature walk

Jack and Blake chill by a tree

And I will leave you with random photos I've found from our Seattle/Victoria BC trip...

Matt and I hiked Mount Ranier on our trip

Ok, I' hope everyone is doing well. We just finished watching Lost and it was, once again, awesome. Later taters! Have a happy Friday! Whee!
