The Last Supper & The After

Friday night we had a small dinner for Cera, the last supper if you will (hahahahaha). Matt made her favorite meal (salmon on a bed of black beans and Spanish rice topped with homemade salsa) and I made a cheesecake. Daddy, BB, Grandma, GranRay and GranBunny all came. Here are some photos.

Lottie Sue and Cera love each other

Matt and I bought Cera a GPS thingy for her car so she'll never get lost in the big city - she was excited

Here she is practicing her L.A. jerk pose with her gas/lodging money (a gift from Daddy and BB) and her gps thingy wearing a new pair of shades

And of course we had one last Rock Band session with our lead singer, the mic is silent for now.

The last jam session

Look at the concentration

This photo cracked me up, GranRay had the biggest grin watching Matt play drums

And here are photos of Cera driving away Saturday morning, after she drove away I went inside and cried my eyes out. I ain't gonna lie.

Final packing job

WAHHHHHH!!!!

Tonight they arrived in Amarillo, Texas and tomorrow they drive to Arizona. They'll arrive at their destination on Wednesday morning. They're going to see the Grand Canyon on Tuesday, that will be super neat. It's nutz.

Lottie Sue's moving into different foods now - Saturday we gave her meat in a jar. She wasn't that thrilled with it.

Me no likey

But later that night Matt was making dinner and she couldn't get enough basil. She was working it like was her job. We just let her smell it to see what she would do and she got very excited.

She already has a sophisticated palette

That night Matt made a DELICIOUS meal for us and the Smiths - chicken with gnocchi (from scratch, now that's love) in a vodka cream sauce. It was truly great!

Here is documentation as to why Kevin is like he is - he's constantly trying to get back at us for stuff like this...

He was so mad

And here is a Before & After project - this is a chair we had upholstered with a very modern fabric.

The Before

The After

Funny story, Matt's parents took the chair to to local store owner in Kingston to do the chair. They called last Saturday morning letting us know they picked it up and they were on their way. Then they called about 15 minutes later with bad news, the chair got wind in the back of the truck and flew out of the car. On the interstate. Suffice to say, things did not look so good for the chair. But it turns out that the upholsterer is also a miracle worker, she was able to repair everything and I mean the chair was in BAD shape. The legs broke off and the fabric was scuffed all over. I don't know how she did it - but wow - it looks so great!

We had it in our bedroom but it didn't look right so we moved it down to the study, it looks good. Here are way to many pictures of Lottie Sue and the chair.

And here are photos of Lottie Sue, Ernie and the chair.

Ernie wanted to get away from her from the second we put him on the chair

And I feel I don't write much about what Lottie Sue is doing. She's talking all the time, not making words but babbling a lot. She's grabby-mcgrab with everything, don't put anything in her reach you don't mind her putting in her mouth. She loves to be tickled and will giggle over it no matter how many times you do it. She's basically just stinking cute. We can't get enough.

Over and out,
Jen
