a super great 4th: cera is in town!

Cera is about to board a flight to Knoxville (Detroit is her connection from LAX) and should be in town around 11!!!!!! We are all sooo excited! Becce and Harlan should arrive from Louisville about the same time with Mike coming in tomorrow. We'll all be together again - whee! I'll have a big post to share with you later on everything. They are leaving on Sunday, and Lottie Sue and I are headed to the beach. We're going with Megan's family (and the Gilmores are going too!!!!). Wow, so many !s in one paragraph.

I just have a few things for you today...no time to upload photos but I'll try to put some up tomorrow for your entertainment. Anywho, here are a few items of interest for you...
  • Rock Band 2 is coming!
  • Here's a feature about Pixar shorts that links to all of them on YouTube. I don't think Pixar makes bad movies, I've enjoyed all of them and I'm very excited about WALL-E (see below).
  • The Artist Formerly (and Currently) Known as Prince is now 50!
  • Central Park was designed for refuge, discovery and communing with society. Not for running. Yet 150 years later, its 843 acres are a paradise for runners. Learn new trails inside Central Park and listen to experienced runners describe their favorites here.
If you happen to be feeling charitable please take note: Matt and I are devotees of NPR's This American Life, we download it on itunes each week and love being able to have it on our ipods. If you do the same, please make a donation to keep it on itunes. They want to cover the operational costs and you can give whatever you like as I'm sure every bit helps.

Let's take a minute to talk about movies, there are a few movies that I REALLY want to see. Here are the top ones that have me excited (you can click on the image to take you to the trailer):

WALL-E

Hancock

The Dark Knight

I hope to see at least one of those next week at the beach, I expect all of these to be really good.

OK, that's all I have for you now - more photos of our family reunion coming at you soon!
